2008 has been a great year for me. This year’s theme for me was recognition. This is the year where everything was right for me. In all the fields that I dabble with, music, gaming, cosplay and blogging, I gained recognition this year.

The day I accepted the Cinema One Originals 2008 award for Best Musical Score was barely a week away, but to me it still feels like it happened a few minutes ago. Now I had another “reliving the experience” moment when ABS CBN finally published their official statement regarding Cinema One’s Best Music Score award.

It was always my life long dream to be a recognized composer in my own country. Today, my dream has finally begun to become reality.

I never expected today to be an extraordinary day for me. I was only supposed to deliver my band’s new album to the major newspapers to be reviewed. While on my way to Philippine Star’s office, I received an unusual phone call. It was from Mr. Ronald Arguelles himself, also known as the head of ABS CBN’s Cinema One Originals Productions. He asked me if I could drop by today at ABS CBN’s office, and I said yes. I had no clue what for, I thought it was only for a press release interview about the recently concluded Cinema One Originals (COO) screening.

Manny Pacquiao wins by technical knockout (TKO). De la Hoya concedes saying Manny Pacquiao was “too fast I could not stop him”. After 8 rounds, the American decided to call it quits after suffering bruises and cuts in his face and being unable to fend of most of Pacquiao’s blows.

Pacquiao still has the upper hand bringing De la Hoya back to the ropes again, staggering the American but still standing tall.

Pacquiao has De la Hoya fall back to ropes throwing multiple speed punches to the American boxer. De la Hoya retreats from Pacquiao’s lightning blows.

Not as intense as the previous round, but multiple punches were still delivered by both boxers. De la Hoya appears more exhausted though.

Pacquiao staggers De la Hoya with a major right hand blow. However, De la Hoya gets back to fight by delivering multiple jabs at Pacquiao’s face.

Manny Pacquiao still has the upper hand delivering multiple jabs to De la Hoya, causing De la Hoya to lose balance for a short while.
