Level Up Live: Rise of the Gaming Gods 2008, the country’s biggest gaming event of the year is about to happen on October 18-19 at the World Trade Center. And being the avid Level Up gamer that I am, I have naturally made myself very much involved in this event.

It’s not everyday that one gets an opportunity to be photographed for a billboard ad. And I feel very fortunate to be included in one billboard. This is the first time and (probably the last time) that this happened to me so I’m gonna shout it out to everyone. Look everyone, I’m on a billboard ad! Hahaha!

For those who don’t know, I, along with a handful of other Level Up gamers, were given the title of Game Heroes by Level Up Games, for our exceptional contributions to the Level Up gaming community.

The highly anticipated Survivor Philippines is airing today, September 15, at GMA 7. Here’s a sneak preview I found. Oh and by the way, I made the Survivor Philippines music. The music that you hear on the video is the official theme of Survivor Philippines, I was commissioned by GMA 7 to arrange it with a more tribal style. Chanting was performed by my bandmate Evan Britanico, while the other instruments that you hear are performed by myself.

As I was trudging a muddy and rocky trail way, my skin was burning because of a scorching morning sun, feet aching and sore because of the rough path, and blades of grass taller than me surround us. I passed by bahay kubo (nipa hut) or two along the way, and a small stream. After walking a for a seemingly neverending path of mud, rocks and grass, I finally saw from afar, a small performance stage made of sticks and bamboo. This is the filming location.

The well-endowed action heroine received a new face with the arrival of former British gymnast, Alison Carroll. She will be the live model of Lara Croft for the upcoming Tomb Raider game, said to be released by November. While I’m not really much of a Tomb Raider fan, I’m now definitely a Carroll fan. Rawrr!

Hello everyone, it’s good to be back here again after some two weeks blogging hiatus. So many things happened while I was away, and I couldn’t even blog about it. So I’m just compiling everything in my Weekly Update #2.

Music
First off, the past few weeks have been very productive. I was able to finish twelve original songs for the musical indie film “KOLORETE” directed by Ruelo Zendo and produced by CinemaOne Productions. For this project, I will be working closely with the cast of talented actresses and actors as I coach them with the execution of my songs.

Also, the Survivor Philippines crew of GMA 7 asked me to create an additional theme music for their upcoming show to be aired this September. It’s almost here!

Together with my band, Makiling, we’re currently in the middle of a series of shows with world-renowned prima ballerina Lisa Macuja and her group Ballet Manila. It’s called Halo Halo Supreme, it’s a celebration of Filipino culture put to modern dance and live music care of Makiling. There will still be some more shows this weekend from August 9-10 at the Aliw Theater beside Star City.
